Since Stertil-Koni and ALM joined forces in July, 2008 the Streator, Illinois facility has enjoyed steady and expansive growth.   We are now manufacturing three lifting systems in Streator:

The marriage of Stertil-Koni and ALM has been a boon for LaSalle County, Illinois where Streator is located.  As a result of the alliance between the two companies Stertil ALM has added 15% more employees in the last six months and has added a second shift to their production planning.  A 12,000 foot expansion is in the works for 2011 and once completed it will result in at least 20 new manufacturing positions.  The pictures shown below describe the increased frenetic pace of ALM's manufacturing facilities. 

This is significant news for LaSalle County which has unfortunately suffered one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and in Illinois with a reported 13.2% unemployment rate (June, 2010).  Therefore, every job added to La Salle County and Streator is important to the local economy.

Therefore, the fabrication of heavy duty lifts, mobile column lifts, heavy duty four post lifts and heavy duty scissor lifts demonstrates Stertil-Koni's commitment to grow jobs in America for Americans!
