Stertil-Koni Inground Lifts Offer the Broadest Range of Solutions to

Meet All of Your Vehicle Lifting Needs

The  Heavy-Duty lifts have the ability to be installed  in a concrete vault, a steel cassette, or retro-fitted in an existing concrete pit... your choice. With piston capacities of 32,000, 50,000 or 75,000 lb. capacities,  your choice of  2-3-or 4 pistons per lift,  along with your choice of wheel base travel, Stertil-Koni  has the lift  that's right for you.

All Stertil-Koni traditional inground vehicle lifts are environmentally safe,  and operate without  the need for any plumbing, hydraulic pipe lines, or hoses. The pump motor is directly flanged to the lifting cylinder.

  • Motors, pumps, and valve blocks are located in the fully enclosed oil tanks. Electronic monitoring systems are also fully guarded in the individual oil tanks.
  • Hard chrome plated pistons have an excellent resistance against corrosion. Hydraulic synchronization by means of pump rotation keeps lifting cylinders within a 2 inch height difference.
  • Solid steel locking bars with Nitro Carburizing  surface treatment for superior corrosion resistance.
  • Comes with an explosion-proof pendant control as  standard.
  • All 32,000 lb. and 50,000 lb. ram systems are ALI/ETL certified.

Whether your looking for Bus Lifts, Truck Lifts, Rail Car Lifts, Commercial Vehicle Lifts, or Forklift Lifts... Steril-Koni has what what you need!

Stertil-Koni's New Rolling Pit Jack

There are tens of thousands of pits situated throughout America's heavy-duty maintenance shops.  Most if not all of these pits do not have the proper means to allow mechanics to safely remove various sub-chassis components including transmissions, axles, exhaust, etc.  This leads to a situation where the pits are rendered virtually useless other than facilitating oil changes.

Now, for the first time in the history of pit technology Stertil KONI has developed a ROLLING PIT JACK with a capacity of 31,000 lbs.  This rolling pit jack is designed to safely operate on pit floor surfaces, thereby not depending on pit edges which are often not reinforced or sufficiently strong.

The features of the new Stertil KONI Model RPJ-3.31 include:

  • Capacity: 31,000 lbs. (necessary to allow lifting even the vehicle itself)
  • Durability: both the piston rod and the pump piston are hard-chrome plated for the best protection against corrosion and water.
  • Fully hydraulic lifting unit: during every lifting and lowering movement, the cylinder is submerged in oil protecting the complete cylinder against corrosion.
  • Foot pedal protection: the floor running pit jacks are operated by foot pedals, requiring minimum effort. This leaves the hands free for working on the vehicle or manipulation of other tools.
  • Safety: the carriage of the Rolling Pit Jack is automatically lowered when handling loads of 1 ton or more. The integral locking brakes guarantees maximum stability.
  • Time-saving: the hydro-pneumatic quick lift rapidly moves the piston rod to the appropriate lifting point. In addition, the hydro-pneumatic forced return rapidly retracts the piston even when off-load. Effectively, the piston is "pulled" back into its rest position.

The ROLLING PIT JACK is now available from Stertil-KONI's exclusive distributor network.  Contact your local Stertil-KONI distributor for availability and ordering information.

Citilink Fleet Maintenance Facility

The Fleet Maintenance Facility of Fort Wayne, Indiana's Citilink public transportation system is a full service shop, servicing a fleet of approximately 54 transit vehicles, among them 30 and 35 foot Gillig low floors and Ford E450 cutaways.

Employing a staff of 10 mechanics, a supervisor and the fleet maintenance manager working a modified 3-shift operation, virtually all of the service, repairs, and preventive maintenance is performed at this facility.

Recently, six Stertil-Koni ECO60 in-ground lifts were installed to complement the set of Stertil-Koni mobiles already in use.  According to Maintenance Manager Max Vincenzo, who was involved in researching the new equipment acquisition, the versatility and ease of maintenance afforded by the ECO60 made for a near perfect fit.  Having six lifts allows them to dedicate specific lifts to certain vehicles, thereby eliminating the need to constantly change out adaptors. Vincenzo and his staff are very pleased with the added safety, ease of use, and increased productivity achieved by the features of their new equipment; specifically the pendant controls, flush mounts, and the construction of the control consoles. They also find the drive mechanism for the front lift with its rack and pinion to be invaluable.

A final benefit to replacing their old lift system with the ECO60's has been the opening up of a large amount of previously unavailable space which can now be used for other operations not requiring lifts.

In Vincenzo's words, "The system is really innovative and we were excited to be able to receive the latest and greatest equipment with all the bells and whistles."
